Witara es una casa pequeña, y no vamos a decir que cambiaremos la medicina o el campo: todavía no tenemos con qué. Lo que sí es verdad hoy es más silencioso. Software que corre en hardware humilde es acceso: la laptop vieja de un colegio público, el servidor barato de una alcaldía, la red lenta de una vereda. El límite del cómputo no es una preferencia estética; es la diferencia entre poder usar una herramienta o quedarse afuera, y en nuestra región esa diferencia decide mucho.Witara is a small house, and we will not claim we are going to change medicine or farming: we do not yet have the means. What is true today is quieter. Software that runs on humble hardware is access: the old laptop in a public school, the cheap server in a small-town office, the slow network in a rural village. The limit of compute is not an aesthetic preference; it is the difference between using a tool and being left out, and in our region that difference decides a lot.
Lo que aprendemos se publica gratis y en dos idiomas, porque el conocimiento técnico casi nunca llega en español y creemos que eso también es una deuda de acceso. Y cuando estos campos toquen medicina, agricultura u hogares, será porque el trabajo llegó hasta allá con evidencia, no porque el tema estaba de moda. El impacto grande se construye igual que el software: con criterio, despacio, y sin venderlo antes de que exista.What we learn is published free and in two languages, because technical knowledge almost never arrives in Spanish and we believe that too is a debt of access. And when these fields touch medicine, agriculture, or homes, it will be because the work got there with evidence, not because the topic was fashionable. Large impact is built the same way software is: with judgment, slowly, and without selling it before it exists.
